Finding the right wedding venue can be a daunting tasks. Especially in such a great wedding location like San Diego, CA. Therefore I've put together a couple of different lists of some gorgeous beach wedding venues around town. First out are my favorites in the Pacific Beach / Mission Bay area. These wedding venues will definitely be your favorites if you are looking for a wedding venues surrounded by beach and water.

  1. Paradise Point Resort & Spa - A Destination Hotel

The name of this hotel is definitely fitting. In the middle of Pacific Beach, San Diego, Paradise Point makes you feel like you are in tropical heaven. Surrounded by lush greeneries, a lively bird life and bridges crossing left and right you feel like you are in the jungle. This is a perfect hotel for both big and small weddings. With all the hotel rooms and little cottages it's also perfect if you're planning a destination wedding in San Diego.

The most popular spot for their ceremonies are out on the little island by the water. Situated on it's own little "island" you are promising forever love right below tall palm trees.

Invite your guests to mingle in the middle of the hotel grounds under a string of market lights while you walk the vast property for your wedding photographs.
Dinner and dance can take place in one of the many different locations that the hotel offers. If you want a wedding home away from home, Paradise Point can offer you that right here in San Diego, CA.

Surrounded by beach and water, this is a top choice for Beach Wedding Venues in Pacific Beach!

  2.  Bahia Resort Hotel

Set on Mission Bay this hotel have beautiful little hotel room cottages for you and your wedding party to get ready at. Surrounded by beach and water you can choose to have your wedding photographs taken in the sand. Or walk inwards and be surrounded by trees and palm trees.

Then headed down the road towards the lobby, and up 5 floors you'll have the most beautiful reception hall.

Overlooking the bay, the golden hour sun shines through the windows, reflecting off the big chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. This ballroom is perfect for your big wedding guest list and will fit everyone with no problem. And if you have a smaller wedding? Use one of their smaller reception rooms right by the lobby.

Did you know they also have seals on location? Yep, rescued seals live at the front of the hotel. Go read up on how you can help the hotel support these animals.

  3. Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa

The Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa offers multiple locations for ceremony, reception and pictures. You can choose to have your ceremony either on the beach over looking Mission Bay or on the grass right outside the hotel.

You can set up your cocktail hour outside the spa and have guest mingle about. While your guests are enjoying the beautiful San Diego sunset walk over to the Ocean side for some great wedding pictures.

Your reception can either take place at the Catamaran's ball room above the spa. Overlooking the bay the view is stunning year round. Or why not keep it all outside. Their large grass area offers the perfect setting for an outdoor reception.

Your wedding portraits can be captured all over the hotel grounds. With both beach and greenery options you are bound to have many fun options.

  4. The Garty Pavilion - San Diego Rowing Club

While I haven't shot at this location my self, it's on my list because I was actually lucky enough to be part of a wedding here in 2017. Even as a bridesmaid, my wedding photography eye kept scoping out locations. Enthusiastically watching the hired wedding photographer I was enjoying the many different photo ops that this location allows for.Rent a Air BnB right across the water and have your wedding portraits done in one of the many cute alleyways. Or walk over to the ocean side and capture pictures with the setting sun and lifeguard towers. Or why not sneak in to the hall where they store all the rowing club. With some creative lighting you'll for sure get some really cool, colorful shots in there.

Set up a beach sand ceremony facing the water for a golden hour setting. Enjoy dinner and dance only light up by the moon and hanging marketing lights. This location is beautiful and will have all your guests gushing about your wedding for years.
