Wedding Trends 2018
Can you believe it’s already almost 2018? Another year of fresh wedding trends for you to get excited about. You can never fail with a traditional timeless wedding (we love all weddings), however there are some new 2018 wedding trends that are emerging that can set your day aside from the rest and make your wedding even more unique. Let’s take a dive (look or jump) into what 2018 should bring you…
It’s no surprise that the vintage, boho wedding trend is still going strong- when you’re adding eclectic heirlooms it’s bound to give a romantic feeling. So what are we seeing as part of this trend?
Glass Houses or Green Houses are part of this 2018 wedding trend, however we happen to be very lucky that San Diego, Ca. has amazing weather and for 2018 a big trend is heading outdoors. Find a location that gives you a woodsy feel like this one at Lilac Canyon Estate.
Dress: New fashion designers have been going 3D by adding floral to dress but if the 3D is not your thing a beautiful lace dress with a high neck is still in high demand for 2018. This lovely dress was provided by Bridal and Veil
Suit: Ok we didn’t forget about you men here.. For this 2018 year Rich colors like Deep reds or blues are in with a solid black pant as the accent color. You can get this look from Friar Tux!
One of the biggest hair trends on the runway of 2017 was bows looped into a beachy curls but for this 2018 adding a floral crown will give the same appeal with a sweeter sentiment. Makeup for 2018 weddings are showing more of a natural look with a light smoky eye and a pop of color in your lips.

Rich Hues, Dark Red or Black Accents with a variety of foliage and texture like Moss or pine this adds an elegant bohemian woodsy feel. Couples are focusing more on small clusters of floral in vases or opting to ceiling treatments. If your still can’t find a local florist that can nail this look reach out to Flowers Forever and they will create a perfect look for you.
Décor: Again think eclectic, mismatch linen, golds, copper and bronze. This is a time in age where you can ask your grandmother if you can use her old vases, napkins and more and add them to your wedding décor. This allows your wedding to incorporate meaning. If you are looking for a great rental try reaching out to Teresa with Rickety Swank Vintage Rental she can provide you with any and every item to fit this 2018 look.
Again think woodsy look! Wooden details can be included in the invitation with a bit of your wedding colors and some beautiful foliage, like this one below by Take Note Creations.
I would say think… CAKES! This 2018 year having more than one cake on a table or offering tables filled with desserts has become the new trend. Check out these delicious cakes created by Audrey with Frost Me Gourmet.
2018 is a year about making memories and allowing everyone to enjoy themselves at your wedding this means getting your favorite food. Food trucks have become a big trend and continue to go strong or just have your favorite Mex. Food at your wedding, after all San Diego is known for its amazing Mexican food.
